The Humane Society needs volunteers in these areas:
1. Helping with the animals directly (e.g., feeding, cleaning, walking)
2. Helping at adoption sites
3. Clerical help, computer skills preferred
4. Assisting at special events and fund-raisers
There's a special need to walk dogs. Because the Humane Society is a no-kill shelter, many of the animals have been there for extended periods. They need regular exercise, especially Monday through Friday between the hours of 10 a.m. to 4 p.m.
Some volunteers
are able to go on weekends only, so a critical need exists during the Monday
through Friday time slots. To volunteer for dog walking, contact 803-980-2430.

Adoption hours at the shelter in Fort Mill are 1pm - 4 pm Tuesday through Sunday.
Adoption hours at Petsmart in Pineville are 11am - 5pm Saturdays and Sundays.
